In Bethlehem

In Bethlehem

in Bethlehem a child is born

like on any other day he is wrapped in swaddling clothes

and in a manger lay

with tiny hands and tiny toes

he is much like you and me

yet the difference in this child

is that he is Holy

 

he is Holy, Heaven’s spotless lamb

the one called Messiah

the one they call the Great I Am

the hope of all the world

in this child can be found

lying in a manger in Bethlehem

 

the word of God was made alive

and came in the flesh of man

he left his throne, he left his home

and came to walk this land

this tiny child that cries out

will soon cry out for you and me

and pay the price for our sins

with his life on Calvary

 

he is Holy, Heavens spotless lamb

the one called Messiah

the one that’s called the Great l Am

the hope of all the world

in this child can be found

lying in a manger in Bethlehem
