Jesus Lives In Me
Oh I want to be like Jesus in everything I do
Lord I never want to disappoint you
But this war inside my spirit rages on and on
And though I fight with all my might
Sometimes I’m just not strong
At times I want to quit this race that
I’ve been called to run
But then I stop and think on you and all that you have done
Then I realize I’m just a man the victory’s not in me
But it’s in the blood that you shed when you died on Calvary
Then my heart sings and the joy of the Lord fills my soul
And I find the strength in you, I need to carry on
Although I’m just a man and weak I may be
I have the strength to fight the fight
Because Jesus lives in me
Lord you’ve always been faithful yet you I’ve always failed
You created Heaven, I deserve no more than hell
Yet you desired that I should be forever by your side
So you left your home, you left your throne
And came to earth to die
You paid a price upon the cross that I could never pay
With your blood you cleansed my soul and washed my sins away
And my heart sings and the joy of the Lord fills my soul
And I find the strength in you, I need to carry on
Although I’m just a man and weak I may be
This race I run Ill finish
Because Jesus lives in me
So though I sometimes stumble and slip along the way
And though I sometimes fall down I will not stay
For even in the darkest night there’s an unseen hand
Who picks me up when I fall and helps me to stand
And my heart sings and the joy of the Lord fills my soul
And I find the strength in you, I need to carry on
Although I’m just a man and weak I may be
This race I run I’ll finish
